What is Netafim Techline CV? A high-tech dripline tubing with emitters, and check-valves, built right in.
Why Techline CV? We recommend Techline CV because of the advanced features and uniformity of water application. What sets it apart from other professional-quality dripline is being made from Post Consumer Recycled Material.
We stock Techline CV with the following options
- Flow Rate: 0.26 GPH, 0.4 GPH, 0.6 GPH, 0.9 GPH
- Emitter Spacing: 6", 12", 18", and 24"
- Coil Length: of 100', 250', 500', and 1000'
Too many options?
Choose Flow Rate - 0.9 GPH, Emitter Spacing - 12", and Coil Length - 250'. You can fiddle with it later. The pressure range for all Techline CV models is 14.5 to 58 psi. To maximize the efficiency of the system, we recommend also purchasing a Netafim pressure-regulating filter for each valve you'll be installing with drip irrigation.
Netafim Limited Warranty for Driplines
Netafim warrants any polyethylene tubing and driplines sold to be free from environmental stress cracking for a period of seven (7) years from the date of original delivery.Downloads & Resources from Netafim
- The feature-rich Techline CV product line offers these benefits:
- Self-contained, one-piece dripline construction ensuring easy installation
- Qualifies for use in LEED projects because it is made from post-consumer recycled materials
- Pressure compensating emitters ensure even distribution of water or a broad pressure range
- 2 psi check-valve in each emitter so all emitters turn on and off at the same time
- Patented root-intrusion prevention is physically built into each emitter so no chemicals are needed to prevent roots from damaging your drip line
- Great for shrubs, trees, and flowers. Do not install on top of turf grass.
- Efficiently waters slopes and long runs of tubing
- Also suitable for green walls and green roofs
- Great for shrubs, trees, flowers, and turf grass not subject to dogs.
- Efficiently waters slopes, curved areas, and narrow planting areas
- Great for high-traffic areas and raised planters
- You can choose to install Techline CV below the soil surface, or on top of it, including below mulch.
On-Surface Installation Tips for Techline CV
- Lay the tubing on top of the soil surface right where you want it. Take care to see that emitters are facing down, and spaced so that an even application of water reaches all of your plants.
- Staple the tubing down every 2' or so to prevent trip hazards.
- Bury the tubing around 4" deep so it gets water directly to the root zone.
- Staple the tubing down every 3' or so.
- You can either lay the tubing out in a grid, or in long lines if your plants aren't spaced closely together. Please see the Netafim Techline CV Design Guide (PDF) for more information on this.
- Attach Techline CV to the PVC pipe delivering water from the valve using a male adapter
- If you're installing Techline CV for trees, you can create rings around the trees at various distances from the trunk. Remember that the feeder roots are near the tree's dripline (edge of leafy areas) and that trees grow, so you may need to adjust this part of your irrigation system over time.
- If your plants are spaced further apart than 18" (which is usually the case for native plants), we recommend using blank supply tubing with manually-installed point source emitters instead.
How do I choose my Techline CV?
Start with Flow Rate. Flow rate is determined by your soil type.
The 0.26 GPH flow model is ideal for Clay Soil. This means that your soil is composed mostly of clay, meaning water infiltrates slowly and is held available for use by plants for a longer period of time.
The 0.4 GPH flow model is ideal for Loam Soil. This means that your soil is composed nearly equally of sand and silt, with a smaller portion, if any, of clay.
The 0.6 GPH flow model is ideal for Sandy Soil. This means your soil is tightly packed together, but water retention is low.
The 0.9 GPH flow model is ideal for Coarse Soil. This means that a large portion of your soil contains gravel particles around 1/4" or bigger. This might be the case in rock gardens or desert areas where topsoil has been replaced with gravel to prevent erosion and dust.
What if I don't know my soil type?
Don't know your soil type? That's okay. One of the great benefits of drip irrigation is that it is highly adjustable. A safe configuration to use when you don't know your soil type is 0.9 GPH and 12" spacing. After installation, it may take you a little longer to find the optimal watering schedule, but this tubing will get the job done.
Guide to Selecting Emitter Spacing
After you have chosen your Flow Rate based on your soil type, you'll next want to select your emitter spacing based on the type of plants you are watering.

Loam 0.4 GPH |
