Rain Bird Low Flow Control Zone Kits

What is the Rain Bird Low Flow Control Zone Kit? A ready-to-assemble valve kit to simply manage pressure regulation and filtration (a must for drip irrigation) in one easy-to-install unit.

Why the Rain Bird Low Flow Control Zone Kit? The idea of the kit is to make installation as easy and seamless as possible, so if you're starting from scratch, we advise buying the kit. These kits from Rain Bird come with a 30 psi pressure regulator (3/4" unit) or a 40 psi pressure regulator (1" unit) and static filter combo built for low-volume (drip) irrigation systems. Rain Bird's valves are industry-leading as they have been cleverly designed to accommodate for larger debris that enters the system, without compromising functionality.

We carry several different pre-assembled control-zone kits. The ones on this page focus on when you're creating a whole new valve assembly. We also carry the Pressure Regulator + Filter assembly, the inline filter by itself, and the inline pressure regulator by itself.

Low Flow Control Zone Kits in 1" and 3/4" sizes include an industry-leading Rain Bird Valve, an inline pressure regulator and an inline filter.

Anti-Siphon Low Flow Control Zone Kits in 1" and 3/4" sizes include an industry-leading Rain Bird Anti-Siphon Valve, an inline pressure regulator and an inline filter.
(Rain Bird Model # XACZ-075-PRF and XACZ-100-PRF)

What does Anti-Siphon mean? Anti-Siphon valves prevent backflow (where potentially contaminated water can re-enter the "clean" water supply). In strictly irrigation situations, backflow isn't a huge concern because your home likely has at least one backflow device already in place.

Every rule has exceptions of course, and here is one important situation for you to consider. If you are watering an area at a higher elevation than the valve is located at, YOU MUST use an Anti-Siphon valve. Typically you want to install your valves at the highest point on the property to avoid this situation, but that's not always possible (or convenient).
